Altrincham 10k Run 2024 with Photos and Videos
Altrincham 10k run was an enjoyable event to watch.
Luckily, the weather was perfect as it wasn't too hot or too cold, and there was no rain.
We waited on the street from 9:30am and within half an hour the first runner appeared - a man running on his own very fast, followed 15 or so seconds later by a lady who was also very fast. Then, about 5 minutes later, gradually the participants arrived in groups.
There were runners who were raising money for charity, and a large number of U3A members handing out cards promoting their organisation to those watching.
For the duration of the event, spectators lined the streets clapping and cheering - with runners occasionally waving and thanking them for the support.
There was even someone walking the route playing bagpipes! (See the video below to watch him).
There were people of all ages taking part, from their 20's to their 70's! We stayed until the end, cheering on the slower ones at the back who were very grateful for the support.
